Evening came on calmly in the Allens Cay anchorage. No wind was blowing and the water was glassy and crystal clear, time to really try out the underwater lights. As soon as Dave turned them on, a circle of blue glow surrounded us and we could see every single thing in the water! Amazing! Beautiful!
We could see conch and their trails in the sand. A pipefish swam right up to the light when we dropped some wahoo crumbs from dinner in the water. We were too slow with the GoPro to catch him. We figured we wouldn’t catch much sea life on video, but we wanted to share how clear the water is. Just as we gave up on any interesting visitors coming by, a nurse shark swam up to the boat looking for more wahoo kibble. Ready this time with the GoPro, we captured the moment on video and tossed some hotdogs out to try to prolong the visit. Apparently, nurse sharks do like hotdogs, though not as well as wahoo.
